Mission and Facts

Mission

The Mid-State Library Association is an organization that provides opportunities for members of the Middle Tennessee Library community to participate in activities that will foster professional growth and service to the community. MSLA is for all types of library workers: public, academic, school, special, library education students, and all others working in libraries.

Meetings

MSLA generally meets twice a year, in the Spring and Fall. These meetings may be a visit to a new or interesting library with a program given by the librarian, or it may be lunch and a speaker.

Membership and Cost

Membership costs only $5.00 per year. Dues for the 2010 membership year may be paid by mail by enclosing a check for $5.00.  You may also pay in person at the Spring or Fall meetings.  Send your check (payable to MSLA) to Susan LaFever, Campus Box 5066, 1100 N Peachtree Ave, Cookeville, TN 38505.  Please include your name, home address, telephone number, library affiliation, library address and e-mail address.
